German Shepherd Dog Information About Us

Connie was raised with German Shepherds due to her father being both a dog handler in the military and Police work through out his life. Although she was not around the military dogs, the police dogs were allowed to stay with the family when not working. It was then she fell in love with the breed.

One day Connie was scanning the news paper and came across an ad for an AKC registered German Shepherd Dog which is how Shadow came to live with Connie. Connie started going to fun matches held by the clubs in the Salt Lake Valley with Shadow. It was there she met people from the Great Salt Lake German Shepherd Dog Club and that is all it took to get her hooked on the confirmation show ring. Shadow never formally competed in the confirmation ring, but he will always be Connie's first true love.

Connie is still learning a lot and continues to educate herself about the German Shepherd Dog, their conformation, behavior, training, and nutrition. She continues to show her dogs in both the obedience and conformation rings as well as handles dogs for other people. Connie has been a long time member of the Great Salt Lake German Shepherd Dog Club and The German Shepherd Dog Club of America.
